I am a FRIM virgin.

Yeap yeap. This is my first time riding through FRIM. Me and Kalid took an easy way to get to FRIM which is by car. While others have been cycling all the way from Bicycle World. So, to cut to the chase, it's BORING! For me lah. Haha. We took to the Rover Track and going up the steroid hill and back down to where the steroid hill started. It was definitely hell for me. As I'm not good at climbing. For LIM, the mechanic from Boon Foo's bikepro, he took 5 laps of it non-stop as if it was nothing. That's what we call Lactic Training. Haha. Then after all that, we cycle back using Tarmac to the canteen. And that's about it. I don't know what to talk about FRIM. It's just wasting my virginity.

Kemensah Secret Trail Via Back Trail.

This is one of the trail I've never taken in Kemensah. The Back Trail starts from Tmn Melawati Phase 6 and it will come out at the pondok in Secret Trail. There were only few people in this trip. Since we're going to be passing by private lands. So we don't want any disturbance caused by a lot of cyclist. It was Pak Mat, Kelolo, Andrew, Kalid, Champion and me who took up this challenge. So we started from Bicycle World as usual at 8am. We cycled through the Phase 6 area and entered to some weird bushes in this area of houses. We went into this loop which was only to make us suffer through this trail. Haha. It ends up at where we started the loop. WTF. Haha. Added some extra milage there. Because of it also I lost my cyclometer. I hate this trail and I hate my cyclometer. ARGH! My cyclometer don't have that proper lock with the base. It fell down a lot. So it deserves it this time. Haha. Anyways, we continued to cycle and cycle. Nothing much to talk about here. Usual deadfalls and bamboos and rocks to put aside. Kelolo had his fall because of didn't lock his rear tire properly. It was pretty much climbing all the way. Then we all reached the usual pondok for Secret Trail. Hehe. From here, we all know how the trail goes right? Then we finished downhilling the secret trail and went straight for the sungai to wash our bikes. Hehe. Pak Mat already went back because he got other important things to do. Here's couple of pictures for you guys.

Enough said. Pictures says it all. Brand new disc brakes and brand new 150mm Fork. Haha. The disc brakes brand is Winzip. It uses the same technology as Deore's disc brakes. As for my fork it has preload and poplock with 150mm travel. How massive can that be? Hehe. I'm enjoying my bike now! EVEN MORE! Haha!

Day 4: Trip to KL. Heaven shines on me.

It's day 4. I didn't even planned it to be day 4 in this tour. I really didn't. I woke up as Nas shook me so that I took my shower. It was 8am. We went out of the hotel for breakfast at 830am. But then Nas asked me to go and ask for any bus tickets. If I am lucky so to get it. With the god's might, I got a ticket home! Huhu! My bus is at 930am. Thanks to Nas encouragement! I was finally got my smile on the dial! Hehe. Had my weird brakefast in Terengganu. I've never tried this breakfast called "Nasi Kepit" or somewhere along those lines lah. It came with 'nasi impit' with 'serunding look alike' but it's sweet. Had my teh tarik as well. So, I got back to the hotel to unload my stuffs and get my bike ready to the bus station. Took out everything from my bike so it fits in the baggage area. Haha. My bike fills up the one whole baggage area. Haha! So, again I shook hands and thanked him for everything asked for forgiveness for anything I did during the touring that may have upset him by on purpose or accidentally. Hehe. So, Nas took off his journey towards Kuantan. I myself will set myself to KL on a bus. Haha! So I arrived in KL around 5.30pm and Bob, my bestfriend picked me up. I am home now. My baby needs the service. And a check on the tire. What's up with it? You know what? There's this tiny winy stapler inside! WTF! I double checked ya know. Didn't find anything! So, it's the end of my journey. My long torturous journey. THE END.

Max Speed 63 kmh!

Total distance 370km! The cyclometer had some misreading. I forgot to press start sometimes cause I made it as manual. 370km from Nas's cyclometer.

Day 3: Jerteh To Dungun. Hell awaits.

It's the last day of my touring. But it isn't for Nas. He will try his best to continue as far as he can. As for me, today is the last. It's the finito for me. Nas woke up at 6am to have his Subuh prayers. As for me, the bed has called upon me to complete my rest. Haha. Left my prayers as I usually does. I'm not proud of it okay? So, 6.45am I finished my shower. Then 7am we were ready. Showered and already stuffed ourself with tuna sandwich. Suddenly, we're about to move out from the chalet room, our stomachs started to scrumbled with very painful feeling inside. Mine just started but Nas's needed the toilet straightaway. He took a ciggie and off he went back straight into the room and had his shit. Mine, came suddenly in a rush. It's about to drop. I was like dammit. Nas is still in the bloody toilet. Thank god, he came out just on time. I left the bikes outside and straightaway let it out of my arse. Haha. When it's all done, we both started to cycle towards K.Terengganu via Kampung Penarek. We started at 7.15am. My 1st destination for bus trip home is in K.Terengganu I hope. Hopefully this 1st January of 2007 wouldn't be a fuss eventhough I know it's going to be. Oh yeah, we've spent our New Year nite and day with cycling. Haha. So, we cycled through Terengganu not looking for anything except the signboards of showing of KMs to arrive Penarek. Here it's quite flatty roads. So, no problem of cycling non-stop 30kmh for 10km at least before taking a rest. As usual, Nas will have his refills of H20 every 20km. The 3rd day, I didn't see him mix Accelerade that much like the past 2 days. All he bought is 100 plus. Maybe it's getting tiring to mix Accelerade everytime his H20 finishes eh? So it's the usual thing you'll be doing the 3rd day of cycling. Nothing extra, nothing different. Then, we started to feel hungry around 930am. We're getting nearer to Penarek. But I was too hungry for energy. Since we had to shit at 7am. I shitted like a lot guys. It's like diarhoea. So we stopped before Penarek and Nas went to buy H20 from kedai runcit and I sat nearby to have my powerbar and powergel. It wasn't really satisfying the hungriness. But I sure hope it would give me energy. By 10am, we reached Penarek had our breakfast. I ate bihun goreng with sotong goreng and Nas had bihun goreng with ikan kembung goreng. Both sotong and ikan was goreng with tepung. Huhu. It's extremely yummy! This satisfies my hunger! Haha. So we finished our breakfast. We pushed our bike to the small road available next to the beach. Hehe. So we snapped our pics there and start to cycle again. I don't bloody remember any of the kampung names now. All I want at that time is to reach K.Terengganu! I want to get home! Haha. My muscles are all like buffed up. Haha. I looked a bit darker as well. I felt like a different person now. Hehe. Anyways, I really couldn't remember what happened else other than re-inflating tire and refilling H20. Oh yeah, there's rain pouring. Now I remember! Haha. I've put on my cheap arse raincoat from the 7 Eleven. And I look like an idiot! Haha, so i'll just cut to the point. We arrived at last at the K.Terengganu! But still it gives me the challenges that I hate which is climbing. FCK! Haha. We arrived there at 1.30pm. It was pretty quick cycle down to K.T. Hehe. Then we arrived at the bus station to ask if there's a ticket to KL. Unfortunately, there's only a bus at 11pm. The bus can't even fit my bike in it. So, no point. I was damn disappointed! My motivation of cycling was just out of d imagination. Nas and me cycle straight ahead for Dungun. It's another destination where express buses always have their stop here. Before heading off, we stopped for lunch at some food court. If I wasn't wrong, it's pantai batu buruk? Whatever lah. I ate Nasi Goreng Daging Merah and a Burger Daging Special. Hehe. A lot eh? Cuz i was really out of energy again. Today is the worst! I've been getting this lack of energy! So, we're all set up! But we both need the toilet to shit again. Haha. So, cycling towards the nearest Gas station and had our shit out there. Haha. Now we continue our cycling journey towards Dungun. It's still raining. I still look like an idiot inside this raincoat. Haha. Now, the best part comes in again. My tire pinch flat. It's totalled! Nas already cycled like was beyond me. I was cycling like 5-8kmh. He cycled like 30kmh. I had to stop and pushed my bike to the nearest bus stop. I've waited for Nas to come back like 15mins! He really have the highest motivation for cycling. Haha. I've tried calling him but he didn't realise my phone calls. I was like. Shit man. What if he just went straight ahead. And forgets about me! ARgh! I have no more spare tubes! Stupid punctures! Feel like suiciding lah! Well, he came back and got his spare tube. I've changed everything. Nas took his ciggie. After all done, we're off to Dungun again. That was the last time I had to re-inflate my tire. Haha. I don't know why it keeps on puncturing at this time. Double checked the tire for any pins, nails or sharp objects but there isn't any. So, we just cycle up to Dungun. We stopped at the gas station for normal refills. The road was packed with cars. Traffic jam like mad. One guy came up to Nas and asked where were we from and all that. They didn't even believed we cycled all the way from Jerteh. We told them we started from Butterworth and they didn't believe it even more! Anyways, the interview was done and we continue to cycle. The traffic jam was really bad. It was all the way for about 15 kms. Just a rough guess. We arrived at Rantau Abang around 7.30pm. We planned to arrive in Dungun around 8.30pm. Hoping so that no more punctures happens. I was cycling at 15kmh - 20kmh. I am really out of energy for cycling. Really cannot continue any faster. At last we arrived at Dungun. Started to look for bus tickets first then a hotel. Hotel was fully booked by outsiders because of the UiTM students just registered for their new semester. Dammit! I got a bus ticket at 11pm. It's a shit bus. Anyways, at least my bike fits in it. That's what the ticket seller said. So, we came across to the last hotel there is, and at last there is a room for us. Our bikes cannot be taken up into the room! WTF! Thank god Nas brought his bike lock. Locked the bike downstairs and taking all our belongings into the room. We took our shower and headed fast towards the nearest restaurant for dinner. They say they ran out of food because of the parents of UiTM students. I was like, WTF? But she said what's left is just drinks, maggi and roti kebab. We both just order each of us a drink, maggi and kebab. Haha. We were bloody hungry! We ate and left the place and went to the bus station to disassemble the bike before the bus arrives. Nas shook hands with me and I thanked him for everything he had done for me. I enjoyed the bloody touring. I thought my journey has come to an end. But woopsy daisy. it isn't! The bus that was supposed to come at 11pm didn't come. I've waited up to 2am! The ticket seller said there was a mistake with the bus. They left the stop without knowing there's people was about to get board on it. The bus is already 1/4 way to KL. I'm like WTF! Dumb assess! I asked for a refund and got it. Called Nas, and thank god he didn't "tidor mati"! I told him all the freaking problem and asked him to help me out with the bike. and I need a place to sleep. He came down and helped me out and went to his room. I couldn't think straight. The guy said, there wouldn't be anymore tickets for the next few days. I was like damn! I'm so dead. I'm so stranded in DUNGUN! I've tried to ask help from my best friends if they could come and fetch me but they can't. They just can't. So I slept. Not knowing what would happen tomorrow.

Day 2: Continuing from Grik to Jerteh

It's the 2nd day of touring. It's Hari Raya Haji. Nas woke up at 6.30am to check out the taxis if they are available as said by the local and also the hotel management where we stayed at. It was a devastating news for Nas as there isn't any taxi available yet to take us to Jeli or Machang. So, Nas woke me up and asked me to get ready to breakfast 1st. Right after the Raya Haji sacrifices finishes, the taxis should be available for us. Me and Nas went to 7 Eleven to get our breakfast since Mamak stall or any muslim stall wouldn't be opening at this time. If it was, we would have cycled as early as 6.30am towards Jeli. We were afraid of losing H20. So, for breakfast I had myself a mee goreng instant in cup and Nas had two cups of instant noodles. Damn he was hungry. Hehe. But actually one of them didn't taste good so he dumped it. After our breakfast, we went back straight to our hotel room and have a rest while waiting for the clock. Nas said that every single touring for him, he will get stranded which is something like this. We managed to watch two movies while waiting for the taxis to be available. Then it was somewhere around 10.30am we start to pack our things and bring our bikes to the taxi stand. It was freaking hot and we couldn't imagine how we would survive the day without H20 to be available. Even at 10.30am, with the taxis available, no one, i repeat, no one would want to take us across Grik to Jeli and direct to Machang. They say it's too far for them. We're paying you RM130 guys for a distance of 90km++! Goddammit! We're not paying you with our pubic hairs ya know. Around 11.30am, we managed to get a taxi. There's "pakcik" who's always at the taxi stand that I haven't been telling you guys, cuz i kinda forgotten to write about him, anyways, the point is he managed to help us out. Thanks for sorting this out pakcik! Also thanks to my whining of getting stranded in Grik and with my sad puppy eyes. Haha! So we stuffed our bags and bike in the taxi. At around 12pm, we moved from Grik towards Machang. While in the taxi, i put on my mp3 player while having myself like cramped with Nas's bike and my bag. I had my quick sleep. Haha. Nas also went for a nap in the car. For a while in the beginning of the journey, Nas and the driver had a conversation. Nothing much to tell what's up in the taxi journey as I was sleeping. Haha. So, yada, yada, yada, we arrived in Machang as paid. WE WERE DAMN FCKG HUNGRY! Our stomachs has made sounds of beautiful hungriness. Haha. So, we cycle towards K.Terengganu via Jerteh. But our stop would be at Jerteh. Oh yeah, we arrived in Machang around 1.30pm but after assembling my bike and kept on pumping my tire's pressure cuz of I don't know where the puncture is, 2pm we started to cycle again. All my muscle pains and backpains started to wiggling up my nerves again. Oh, it never ends ya know! So, as we cycle looking for warungs or restaurants that is opened for lunch. There isn't any! Till we arrived at this one shop. They say they are closed for today but they have Hari Raya Qurban's giveaways. Huhu! I just went like hurray! We got carbs to burn! So I just ate whateva they gave us. I don't know wtf they gave us. All i know it is cooked in curry. I just everything they gave me on the plate. I don't wanna hurt their feeling by not eating of what they gave us. You know, this thing actually opens up my view towards Kelantanese people. Haha. Won't tell you what it is. So we thanked them for the free meals. And cycle again towards Jerteh. Again and again I have to remind you guys, in this tour, I have an uncountable times of refilling the air in my rear tire. So I won't bother of telling about it again and again. Haha. While we're cycling this time, I've counted lotsa dead animals on the road. Especially those cute "Tikus Padi". They're small and damn cute. They only live in paddy areas. But they just have to be dead. Also, there's a lot of cats and 1 goat died. There's 2 black snakes died as well. Nothing significant after the free meal until we actually arrive at Jerteh. Before that, we took ourself a picture of ourself when we're at the Terengganu entrance welcome gate. We arrived the start of the Jerteh town and I saw there's a bicycle shop. So I guess I could buy myself some spare tubes as I've finished mine! Stopped at the shop and it was a chinese shop. It wasn't a typical chinese shop. It's a Kelantanese chinese shop. They speak as fluent as any normal Kelantanese would. The funny part is I was looking for a spare tube from them. Then the lady asked her little boy to look for it in chinese language. The boy was blur! Then she said in Kelantan dialect and he understands it straightaway. Woah, that's just bloody weird ya know. Haha. But then, there isn't any spare tubes. God dammit! Then, I went out of the shop and they wish me and Nas good luck on our journey. Then we start to look for our cheap accomodation. We arrived around 5.45pm in the town of Jerteh. 1st hotel, no one was around! The hotel was there but no reception desk! We searched where's the desk but still not found. Then, the 2nd hotel we asked, was bloody expensive for even a fan room. RM50! WTF? Then, a guy wanted to help us out by telling us there's a chalet across the road by the river. So we went there, called the number. Managed to get discount for our airconditioned room for RM55. Haha! Take that! Then we took our shower and get out from the chalet to get our dinner. And we went straight back home for another closing down deal with the bed. We planned to get up at 6.30am tomrrow. As we have a real long journey tomorrow and I will end it tomorrow.
